Troubleshooting desktop hardware and software issues.
Updating the operating system on desktops and laptops.
Installing software on desktops and laptops.
Removing viruses and spyware from desktops and laptops.
Setting up network connections on desktops and laptops.
Connecting desktops and laptops to printers.
Resolving printer issues.
Helping the network admins as needed.
Sometimes answering help desk calls.
Configuring and troubleshooting connections between desktops/laptops and mid-range or mainframe computers.
Sometimes providing informal or formal training to users on how to use computer hardware or software.
Assisting others in the IT department like programmers, telecom, web designers and others when it comes to desktop/laptop hardware and software.
Disconnecting, moving and reconnecting desktops, laptops and printers when the departments within the company switch places.
Mandatory skills required:
Should have good verbal & written communication skill.
Should be ready to work in 24*7 rotational shifts including night shift.
